Academic events of September 2018- Department of English MKBU

This blog contains the documentation of  various events which we have celebrated in the month of September 2018 


1) Teacher's Day: 5th September

On 5th September we have celebrated Teacher's day and total 16 students participated as a teachers of the day. They taught in Sem 1 and Sem 3 class. Some of them also give lectures in both the classes.

2) International conference on Globalization, Literature & Culture: 5-9 September

On 5th there is International conference at Pune  where many students of our Department went to present their research paper. From Sem 3 two students Nirali Dungrani and Ramiz Solanki went to present their research topic individually. From Sem 1 student only one Karan Pandya present his research paper. Two former students Namrataba Zala and Alpa Ponda also participated with their research paper in this conference. From research scholars Vaidehi Hariyani, Ahuti Dhandhukiya and Hirva Vora presented their research paper.

3) Special Daily Schedule about LGBT: 7th September

On 7th September Reena Khasatiya presented her views about the Judgement of Supreme  court on LGBT.

4) We had guest lecturer Balaji Ranganathan sir from CUG Gandhinagar on 14h, 15th and 16th September on Postcolonial Studies. He dealt with "Orientalism", "Imaginary Homeland" and "White Skin Black Mask" and also on 15th september he took lecture on Net/Set preparation.

5) On 17th, 18th and 19th September All students attended P.HD course work presentations given by four Scholars at Dept. of English MKBU.

6) on 19th September to 22nd September we had guest lectures on Poe's Short stories by Dr.Jay Mehta.

7) on 23rd September MK Bhavnagar University organized GPSC workshop and Inauguration of Atal Auditorium at Atal Auditorium in MKBU. Total 30 students from the dept. Of English attended this workshop.

8) on 26th September six students and H.O.D Of the dept. Of English Dr.Dilip Barad took part in Tennis in Khelmahakumbh 2018 at Soprts Complex Bhavnagar in which Dr.Dilip Barad sir won final in both Single man and double events.
